Louisiana Democrats today unveiled a new web ad and website, Cassidycare.com, which breaks down “Cassidycare,” Bill Cassidy’s plan to force seniors and middle-class families to pay more, so that billionaires can pay less. The launch of Cassidycare.com and the accompanying web ad are part of a broad and long-term campaign to educate voters about what Bill Cassidy wants for Louisiana’s seniors, and how his agenda would hurt them and their families.
Since entering Congress, Bill Cassidy has voted for every major piece of legislation that would slash retirement benefits for seniors. His plan for seniors, “Cassidycare,” would be a disaster for them and the middle class.

“‘Cassidycare’ for seniors means raising the retirement age to 70, ending Medicare as we know it by turning it into a voucher program, and forcing seniors and middle-class families to pay thousands of dollars more, so that millionaires and billionaires can pay less,” said Campaign for Louisiana Communications Director Andrew Zucker. “Bill Cassidy wants to take care of the wealthiest Americans by awarding them with massive tax breaks at the expense of seniors and the middle class, and Louisiana can’t afford Bill Cassidy’s disastrous agenda in the Senate.”
