Chairwoman Bernhardt’s Statement on AG Jeff Landry’s Failure to Report Discipline Resulting From Sexual Harassment
Baton Rouge, LA – Louisiana Democratic Party Chair Katie Bernhardt issued the following statement regarding the report in the Louisiana Illuminatorthat AG Jeff Landry failed to report discipline resulting from workplace sexual harassment:
“Recent revelations about Attorney General Jeff Landry’s scornful disregard for victims of sexual harassment and Louisiana law are egregious. Landry should have done everything in his power to ensure that his 609 employees have a safe working environment. Instead, he ignored the law to conceal the harassment, protecting the perpetrator instead of the victim. Louisiana deserves an Attorney General who upholds the law. Louisiana women deserve an Attorney General who takes sexual harassment seriously.”
