DNC delegate polling places established in Lake Charles & Lafayette
Louisiana Democratic Party Chair Karen Carter Peterson announced the polling locations for the Saturday, May 19, 2012, DNC delegate run-off election in the 7th Congressional District. For additional information on the election, you can contact party headquarters by phone 225-336-4155 or by email.
The Louisiana Democratic Party (LDP) today identified four voting locations that will be used in the May 19th run-off for the two female delegate positions that remained undecided following a three-way tie in the May 5th election.
Three candidates will vie for the two seats. They are:
Sally O. Donlon
Evia Hodge
Lexi Thompson
Myra Bennett was the top votegetter in the May 5 election. Donlon, Hodge and Thompson tied for second.
Two voting places will operate in Lafayette between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The locations are:
America’s Coffee House

Garden Square (1st Floor, near the pool)
2032 NE Evangeline Thruway
Lafayette, LA 70505
The Lake Charles polling locations will also be open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. They are:

Results from the election will be announced by the party via email on Monday, May 14.
