Louisiana Democratic Party Statement on Louisiana U.S. Senate Election Results 

BATON ROUGE, LA – Katie Bernhardt, Chair of the Louisiana Democratic Party released the following statement regarding the U.S. Senate election results on Nov. 3:

“We’re grateful that Mayor Perkins stood up to run in this election and gave a voice to the working families across Louisiana struggling during this health and economic crisis. We were proud to stand alongside him, and we’ll continue working together as he fights for the people of Shreveport.

“Our work isn’t over tonight. During this election, Louisiana Democrats mobilized to break turnout records. We will continue building on that success and putting in the work every day to strengthen and grow our party in every corner of Louisiana.”
