BATON ROUGE, LA – After a long, hard race – East Baton Rouge has chosen their next leader

Senator Karen Carter Peterson, Chair of the Louisiana Democratic Party released the following statement:

“Mayor-President Elect Broome showed throughout this campaign that she is someone who is serious about bringing this community together and making us whole and will never seek to divide.  That message clearly resonated with voters in a year that has been nothing short of difficult for Democrats.
