Louisiana Democrats Announce Communications Director for 2019 Coordinated Campaign

Today, the Louisiana Democratic Party announced the first member of the 2019 Democratic Coordinated Campaign team. Eric Holl will serve as Communications Director for “Victory 2019,” the state party’s coordinated campaign effort whose top priority is to re-elect Gov. John Bel Edwards.

As communications director, Eric will focus on protecting incumbents like Governor John Bel Edwards, holding Republican officials accountable and fact-checking false narratives pushed by the governor’s opponents and others.

“As an experienced campaign communicator, Eric will ensure that the Coordinated Campaign is able to spread the message about all of the good things happening in Louisiana and counter Republican attacks,” said Louisiana Democratic Party Executive Director Stephen Handwerk.

Eric is a graduate of the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication and brings more than five years’ experience on national and statewide campaigns, primarily in the South. Before returning to Louisiana this year, Eric worked in the press office of North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and as research director on his successful 2016 campaign.
