Special Project Coordinator
The Louisiana Democratic Party (LDP) is seeking a mission-driven professional with exceptional prioritization and time management abilities to serve as Special Project Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Special Project Coordinator will coordinate interdepartmentally in furtherance of electing Democrats across the state.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate scheduling of meetings and calls with national and state party officials, elected officials, candidates, campaign staff, and vendors.
Prepare briefs of key logistical items and talking points, presentations, and other documents for Party Chair and Executive Director
Record meeting notes for Executive Director with special attention to action items and execute follow up.
Manage trackers for state legislature district and statewide races.
Coordinate candidate intake process & interviews.
Manage candidate recruitment process in coordination with Senate and House Democratic Leadership.
Develop comprehensive internal assessment reports on major organization functions.
General political research tasks including production of daily clips
Marginal Duties & Responsibilities
Proactively resolve questions and concerns from candidates, party officials, and vendors as appropriate.
Plan and execute multi-faceted training events.
Assist other members of team LDP

Preferred Knowledge & Skill Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
The ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner
The ability to develop creative solutions
Work Environment Requirements
May be required to travel and/or work extended workdays, evenings or weekends
