Baton Rouge, LA Upon learning the results in the Congressional District 2 race, the Louisiana Democratic Party released the following statement which can be attributed to our chair, Senator Karen Carter Peterson:
“Congressman Richmond’s resounding win tonight illustrates just how hard he fights for the residents of his district and all of Louisiana. His steadfast leadership and tireless advocacy on judicial reform, educational opportunities and equal pay for women may make up what you see him fighting for the most, however it is the fighting he does for us behind the scenes that is so valuable and why voters didn’t hesitate to return him to congress for another term. We congratulate our very good friend.”
