Louisiana Democratic Party Calls on Judge LeBlanc to Resign After Use of Racial Slurs
BATON ROUGE, LA – Wednesday, the Louisiana Democratic Party called on Judge LeBlanc of Assumption Parish to resign after she admitted using racial slurs to refer to black officials in her district.
“Judge LeBlanc’s words were discriminatory, racist, and unfit for a judge,” Sen. Karen Carter Peterson, Chair of the Louisiana Democratic Party said. “After this, it’s clear that she is unable to do her job and administer justice fairly. An apology is not enough – Judge LeBlanc should resign immediately.”
